Phillip Adams 89 of Richmond died May 24, 2018 at Golden living Center Golden Rule after a short illness. He was born June 10, 1928 in Richmond to Peter and Amanda Kores Adams and lived here all his life.
He worked with his familys business, Adams Confectionary, until it closed in 1956 after his fathers death. He retired as a postal clerk for the United States Postal Service after working 34 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean era serving in Germany. He enjoyed Golf and was an avid player.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years Marilyn, one son Michael Adams of Richmond, one daughter Cynthia (Jack) Berry of Richmond, one grandson Jason Berry, one sister Georgia Adams Steen of Oak Lawn, Illinois, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Ernest Adams and one sister Helen Adams Cofield.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday May 29, 2018 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
