Burial will be at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon, Texas.
Ms. Smith was born Jan. 4, 1934, in Hedley, Texas, to William Wayne and Jessie Alice Carroll. She was a resident of Clovis, N.M. much of her life before moving to Newton, Texas several years ago. She was educated in Portales, N.M. and worked at Cannon Air Force Base for 19 years before her retirement. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and five sisters.
Survivors include three sons, David Smith and wife, Teri, of Clovis, N.M., Guy Smith and wife, Barbara, of Sedalia, Colo. and Larry Smith and wife, Nancy, of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; eight grandchildren, David B Smith (Shaunna), Derrick Smith (Elizabeth), Katie Smith, Taylor Smith (Taris), Savanah Smith, Andrea Roahberg (Adam), David Risley and Alice Smith; and seven great-grandchildren, Dustin Smity, Caylie Smith, Kamron Smith, Aubrey Smith, Morgan Smith, Taylor Rothwell and Jaya Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
