Arthur Dwain Oldham, of Jasper, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2007, at the age of 73.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at 2 P.M. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Walker Memory Gardens. Roy Wolfe will officiate, Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.
Mr. Oldham was preceded in death by his Father-Virgil Oldham; Mother-Bessie Oldham; Infant brother and sister. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Oldham; daughters, Debbie (Mike) House and Gayla (Keith) Smith; brothers, Leroy (Ann) Oldham and Therman (Helen) Oldham; grandchildren, Becky and Eric House, Melissa and Carly Smith.
Dwain was born in Tucumcari, N.M. He moved to Jasper with his wife Peggy in 1976 where he worked for Drummond Coal Company for over 20 years. Dwain was a "very" proud member of the Alabama Elks Association where he was a member of the Jasper Elks Lodge and a Past State President. He was loved by all and will be missed greatly.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Alabama Elks Association (note on check for Dwain Oldham Memorial Fund) and mail to Mr. Bob Shimpaugh, 672 Old Towne Lane, Alabaster, AL 35007.
