Gail was born June 13, 1944 at Fort Lewis, WA to Edward and Donna (Horning) Reid and lived in the area most of her life. On October 20, 1962 in Walkerton, IN, she was married to Charles O. Lawrence, who survives. Also surviving are four children, Butch (Sharon) Lawrence of Koontz Lake, Kelly Lawrence of California, Jodi Snedeker of Plymouth and Jack (Nicole) Lawrence of Nappanee; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Terry Kriskovsky and Janie Wharton. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Gail was a former dispatcher for the Koontz Lake Fire Department and EMT for Starke County EMS. She was a former Cub Scout leader and a former room mother at Oregon-Davis School Corporation. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting, fishing and most of all being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. EDT at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel. Burial will follow at the Grovertown Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. EDT and Saturday one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the Koontz Lake Fire Department.
