Mark Lloyd Stephens, age 88, of Pikeville, TN, son of the late Mary Ross Lloyd and Mark Bates Stephens, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018.

He was a retired cattle farmer. He received his B.S. Degree from Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, Tennessee, with a major in agronomy. He served as the Director of Farm Bureau, A.S.C. Committee, a past President of Farmer's Co-Op, Trustee of Pikeville United Methodist Church, City Alderman for two consecutive terms, Director of First National Bank and in the United States Army during Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ross Lloyd and Mark Bates Stephens; brother, William A. Stephens; and sister, Mary E. Hegvold.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Margaret Stephens of Pikeville, TN; son, Hal Mark (Hai) Stephens of Knoxville, TN; granddaughter, Stephanie Ann Grubbs of Knoxville, TN; grandsons, Anthony James Stephens and Andrew Mark Stephens, both of Knoxville, TN; great-grandsons, Jackson Bryant and Parker Joseph Grubbs of Knoxville, TN; brother, James D. (Etta) Stephens of Pikeville, TN; nieces, Dr. Billy M. Stephens of Knoxville, TN, Theresa H. Fenton of GA, Vickie (Randy) Frye of VA and Karen (Ralph) Angel of Pikeville, TN; nephews, A. Bates Stephens of Knoxville, TN and Stephen M. Hegvold of TX; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and cousins, William (Martha) Rodgers of Signal Mountain, TN; and Ann Ramsey of Chattanooga, TN.
