Michael C. Whitehead, age 52, of Murfreesboro, TN departed this life on Friday, May 18, 2018.
Michael C. Whitehead was born August 26, 1965 to the late Mack Arthur Whitehead and Cordelia Whitehead in Americus, Ga.
Michael was a graduate of Americus High School Class of 1984, where he, excelled on the football field and made life-long friends. He then attended the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in which he was a proud member of the UT football team and remained a devoted “Volunteer”. After college, Michael was employed with Borders Group for 20+years. Throughout his life, he established friends and would maintain these friendships over the years.
Michael leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Vivian E. Whitehead of Murfreesboro, TN; son, Michael C. (Renae) Whitehead Jr. of Knoxville, TN; daughter, Elizabeth T. Whitehead of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Gerald (Connie) Whitehead of Americus, GA; sister, Edna J. Whitehead of Americus, GA; Michael was also blessed with a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly along with other relative and friends.
Visitation will be held on May 26, 2018 at Rucker Memorial Chapel, 1505 Bradyville Pike, Murfreesboro, TN. from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. immediately followed by the Service.
