Catherine was a daughter born to parents George Kalbfleisch (1826-1925) and Mary Dechart (1834-1890). She was born in the village of Bridgeport, Waterloo Twp; in 1853.

1861 census of Waterloo Twp; 9 years old.

She became the wife of August Boehmer on September 09th, 1873 in Neustadt, Normanby Twp. Marriage Register #004159.

She then lived with August in Berlin, Waterloo County.
