Frank Albert Woods of Eagle Point passed away May 17, 2018, at the age of 94.

Frank was born July 23, 1923 to Mary Vallet Graham and Gordon Woods in Elba Township, Knox County, Illinois.

Frank proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a mechanic and driver. His tours of duty included the Philippine Islands, West Indies, and New Guinea. He was awarded a good conduct medal, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, and Philippine Liberation Ribbon.

Frank worked for the State Highway Department until he retired. He moved to Eagle Point to raise his family in 1965. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and going fishing with his grandchildren.

Frank is survived by his wife, Betty; four sons, Bruce, Michael, Bob, and Mark; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 24 at 2 p.m. at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
