Marilyn J. Jacobs, 85, of Portage, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday morning, May 22, 2018.
Marilyn was born June 10, 1932, in Rockford, Ill., a daughter of the late Lester and Pearl (Rogers) Weiderman.
Marilyn was employed for many years as a sales clerk with Gilmore Department Store. She was a longtime and active member of St. Michael Lutheran Church and loved spending time with her family and friends. Marilyn enjoyed playing games and in her earlier years enjoyed going dancing with her husband.
On April 18, 1949, Marilyn was united in marriage to her loving husband, Robert, who preceded her in death Dec. 31, 2001. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Weiderman.
Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Carol (Richard) Pierce and Debby (Joe) Frost; a brother and sister, Norm Weiderman and Gloria (Lynn) Gest; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 7211 Oakland Drive, Portage, with the Rev. Dr. Paul Naumann officiating. Interment will follow in Portage Central Cemetery.
