Sadie Kathleen Scott Smith, age 80, of Hwy. 544, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Mrs. Smith was born in Conway, a daughter of the late Roscoe Julius and Janie Hardee Scott. She was a member of Sweetwater Branch Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Sears for 35 years. Mrs. Smith was an avid bowler, loved tending to her plants and helping others.
She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Tonya Bashor, a brother, Julius Scott and a sister, Ann Bashor.
Surviving are her husband, Huey "Ducky" Smith of Myrtle Beach, two daughters, Kathy Bashor (Larry) and Kay Smith Benton, all of Myrtle Beach, one grandson, Austin "Buddy" Benton, two brothers, James V. Scott and Johnny "Buck" Scott, both of Myrtle Beach and five sisters, Lela Stroud, Leila Deneuve, Leona Doyle, Earline Thompson and Donna Ree Scott, all of Myrtle Beach.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Pastor Charles C. Mixon and Rev. Roger Black officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
