Bessie Mary Webb, of Rockford, Illinois, departed this earthly life May 19, 2018. She was born August 30, 1925. in Athens, Alabama the daughter of Leacie Williams and Cleave Black.

Bessie lived in Rockford since the 1960’s coming from Athens, She married Charles Webb June 9, 1960, he preceded her in death. Bessie was a member of Miles Memorial C.M.E. Church serving as the President of the Stewardess and a member of the Missionary Society. She graduated from Trinity High School and attended Rock Valley College.

Bessie leaves to cherish many loving memories: daughters, June Williams, Susan (Steven) Ned and Carla (Rev. Roland) Brown; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; sister, Josephine David.

She was predeceased by: parents; husband; and daughter, Perris Williams.

Services Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Miles Memorial C.M.E. Church. Burial in Willwood Burial Park.
