JoAnn Foley, 70, Carmi, died Monday afternoon April 16, 2007 at Hamilton County Hospital in McLeansboro.
She was born Oct. 18, 1936 in Norris City, the daughter of Raymond and Maude (Henson) Martin. She married Jerry Foley on April 26, 1953 in Springerton, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 2001.
Mrs. Foley was the owner and operator of JoAnn's Beauty Shop. She was a member of Stewart Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Jr. and Toni Foley of Midland, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Jana and Jerry Land of Suwanee, Ga.; three grandchildren, Cullen Foley, Ian and Megan Land; and three sisters Madelon Gwaltney of Evansville, Ind., Evelyn Kirby of Veedersburg, Ind. and Carolyn Jordan of Carmi. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers Lowell, Lynn and Grayson Martin; and two sisters, Eleanor Weaver and Marilyn McLain.
