Stella V. Butler, 84, of Elk City, Okla., formerly of Lacy Lakeview, Texas, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2007, in Elk City. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 19, at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco.
Stella was born in Moody, Texas, to the late Esau A. and Ethel Brown. She lived in the Waco area most of her life until moving to Elk City, Okla., nine years ago, to live with her daughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Butler; sons, Emmett Butler in 1981, Sam Burleson in 1999, William Butler in 2006 and Arthur "Art" Butler in 2007; her mother, Ethel Brown; and two brothers.
Survivors include her son, Johnie Butler, of Paris, Texas; daughter, Stella Brosh, of Elk City, Okla.; 19 grandchildren; a host of great and great-great-grandchildren; and several other loving family members and many friends.
