Services for Victor Thompson will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018 10:00 AM graveside in Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS.
Mr. Thompson, age 80, died on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at his residence in Ruleville.
He was born on December 23, 1937 in Ruleville, MS, to the late Robert Fulton and Mary Tyson Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Louise Thompson, sister, Rebecca Standrod, and a brother, Thommy Thompson.
Victor was a river boat captain for Magnolia Marine Transport before his retirement.
He is survived by his three sons, Robert (Lara) Thompson of Ruleville, MS., Barry (Paula) Thompson of Columbia, TN, and William Bryant (Melissa) Thompson of Burkeville,TX; daughter, Janis (Ralph) Huffman of Hickory, NC; step daughter, Catherine(Tony) Tullos of Jonesville, LA; brother in law, James Standrod of Greenwood, MS; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 22, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Ruleville. Rev. Allen Huffman will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Shannon Flanagan, Tommy Flanagan, Thomas Thompson, Todd Thompson, Robert Ware, and James Calvin Thompson.
