On May 20, 2018, our husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and faithful servant, Chuck Neal, transitioned into life eternal at Texoma Medical Center.
Chuck entered this life on January 23, 1939, in Omaha, Texas. His parents were Willie B. and Cora Burgess Neal. As a proud American he served his country in the Air Force, serving in Harlingen, Texas, Japan and Vietnam.
Following his military service he located to Denison, where he met Donna Tucker and they were married on April 12, 1965. Chuck was blessed with sons; John Neal of Sherman, TX, Tim and wife Gina Neal of Denison, TX, Claude Lee and wife Dana Neal of Carlsbad, CA., Bubba and wife Tamis of Denison, TX. His grandchildren are Ashley Prater husband Lee of Colbert, OK., Brooklyn Cox husband Nick of Sherman, TX, Cooper Neal of Pottsboro, TX, Shelby Neal of Howe, TX, and Christian Lee Neal of Carlsbad, CA. He was further blessed with four great grandchildren; Hallie Prater, Christian Neal, Kase Cox and Kalianna Neal.
From 1969 to 1989 Chuck represented the Reliable Life Insurance Co. in Denison, where his customers were his friends and he found much pleasure in providing for their insurance needs. He was a faithful member of East Baptist Church where he served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in various ministries. Over the years, Chuck was also involved in coaching the youth in Little League, Pony League, Mickey Mantle and American Legion Baseball, where he touched the lives of many youths.
The Masonic Fraternity is where he found much satisfaction in serving Billie Mosse Lodge No. 1152, including being elected to serve as its presiding officer, Worshipful Master, in 2002. Chuck was always ready to respond to opportunities to help, aid and assist those in need.
Funeral service for Mr. Neal will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at East Baptist Church with Pastor Brett Castle officiating. Interment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Fisher Funeral Home.
