Christopher Michael Carlisle of Enfield passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the age of 47. Chris was born in Ithaca on February 15, 1968, a son to Michael and Janet (Everhart) Carlisle. He attended school in Newfield and was active in sports participating in football, baseball, and wrestling. After graduating from Newfield Central School in 1986, Chris joined the United States Air Force honorably serving his country during the Gulf War. Upon being honorably discharged in 1996, Chris took a position at Kendal at Ithaca in the maintenance department. He eventually would become a maintenance manager, making many close friends during his employment. Chris enjoyed football, golf, baseball, playing video games, and reading. Above all, Chris loved his family and was a devoted father, son, and friend to those who knew him. He looked forward to family gatherings and always enjoyed a good campfire. Chris' contagious smile could brighten any day and he will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends. He is now reunited with his best friend and cousin, Lee. Chris is survived by his two children, Colin Carlisle and Madelyn Carlisle; parents, Michael and Janet Carlisle; mother of his children, Jolee Dickens; sister, Kimberly (Matt) Alamond; nephew and niece, Sebastian and Nina Alamond; great nephew, Alex Alamond; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, Arthur and Aline Everhart and Floyd and Isabelle Carlisle.
