On Monday night, February 20, 2012, our beloved mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, Ms. Yolanda Wright, left our family circle and transitioned to her spiritual home. She was predeceased by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Ben Berlin and Jean Wright; and one brother, Randy Darnell Wright. Yolanda was born on January 14, 1962 in Suffolk, VA and attended Suffolk Public Schools. She later moved with her family to New York City, but they later returned to Portsmouth, VA. She was employed by Sentara Nursing Center, Greenwood Drive, Portsmouth, VA, as a Food Service Technician, under the supervision of Mrs. Belinda Wyche, who became a devoted friend, family friend and spiritual guide as well as faithfully assisted in her care. Rev. Celeste Broady also assisted in her care as a beloved family friend and spiritual guide. Her uncle, Mr. Fred C. Williams, Sr., Mr. Fred C. Williams, Jr., and other family members assisted Rev. Brenda Boone, her aunt, who gave of her time lovingly and faithfully to take care of her and stayed by her side through her illnesses. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her daughters; Asharna Wright Hargrove, (Calvin) and one grandson, Richard Brock III and daughter, Shana Wright; her brothers, Ben Berlin Wright, Jr. and Frederick Culbreath, (Pam); her aunts, Mrs. Nawatha Williams, (Fred Sr.), Amelia Sears Goodman, (Raymond), Rev. Brenda Sears Boone; and one great aunt, Ms. Ann Walton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and one special friend, Mr. Johnnie Maddox, aka, Yolanda had a special love for all of her family and friends.
