EMMETT MARION CANTRELL

EMMETT MARION CANTRELL, SR., of Rogersville, son of Felix and Hazel (Fullington) Cantrell, was born on February 2, 1946, in Marshfield, MO and passed away on May 19, 2018 in Marshfield.

On October 16, 1965, he was united in marriage with Gwen Swearengin and to this union two children were born, all surviving.

For many years Emmett was a carpenter, building many houses in the area. In his free time and into his retirement he loved to hunt foxes and coyotes. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Emmett is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gwen, of the home; one daughter: Kim Cantrell and her husband, Arnold Carr, of Springfield; one son: Emmett “Rusty” Cantrell, Jr. and his wife, Angel, of Fair Grove; two granddaughters: Katherine Ann Cantrell, of Ozark and Brooke Cantrell, of Fair Grove; one Great Granddaughter: Jillian Riley, of Ozark; three brothers: Larry and his wife, Jearlene Cantrell, of Marshfield, Tom and his wife Mary, of Strafford and Keith and his wife, Cynthia, also of Strafford; one sister: Kathy Day and her husband, Tex, of Seymour; many nephews, nieces and cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in the Fraker Funeral Home, 1131 State Hwy A., Marshfield, Missouri 65706, with burial following in Marshfield Cemetery. Visitation will be before the funeral from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
