Linda Carol Wise, 68, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018.

Linda was born Aug. 29, 1949, to Gene and Louellyn Gilchrist Prater. She was the third of four children. The children were born approximately one year apart and were very close to one another while growing up. Linda lived on the family's farm in Keller, Texas, where she was known to bathe her pet turkey and to push her pet ducks around in a baby carriage. She enjoyed riding horses and her famous "Lady Godiva" ride, which embarrassed her when mentioned, was captured on 8 mm film. She maintained a life long love of animals including her pomeranians, Baby and Angel. At the age of six, Linda and her family moved to the Arlington Heights area of Fort Worth. She attended North Hi Mount then West Van Zandt schools. She met Roy Wise, who she would later marry, while attending Parker Junior High. Linda and Roy had a son, Raymond Lee, on Aug. 21,1980, and he was always the joy of her life. Linda's favorite TV and movie genres included crime series and horror movies. The cartoon channel was always on during the day at her house and Scooby Do was her favorite. She enjoyed swimming, going out to eat, dog sitting and spending time with family and friends. She was a unique and special lady that was a blessing to everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents; and brother, Tommy.

Survivors: Son, Raymond Lee Wise; two grandchildren, Beckett, age four, and Colleen, age one; two older brothers, Larry Eugene Prater of Missouri and Raymond Thomas Prater of Fort Worth; and a younger sister, Barbara Prater Jones.
