Mona M. Smith, 83, of Orbisonia, PA, died at 1:28 AM, Saturday, April 28, 2018 at J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, PA.
Born February 18, 1935 at Dublin Mills, PA, she was a daughter of the late Scott & Colista (Roher) Gerringer. She was united in marriage to Donald Smith on September 30, 1951. Mr. Smith preceded in death on November 19, 1985.
She is survived by three children, John Smith of Three Springs, PA, Carl Smith of Chambersburg, PA and Lori Ritchey of Lewistown, PA, ten grandchildren, one great granddaughter, one sister, Pearl Hoffman of Three Springs, PA and one brother, Merrill Gerringer of Orbisonia, PA. Three sisters, Mabel Gumbert, Viola Hoffman and Gladys Ramsey and one brother, Harry William Stallman preceded in death. One brother, William Gerringer, died in infancy.
Mrs. Smith was a member of the Immanuel Bible Church, RD, Three Springs, PA. During her life she was employed at U. S. Sports, Inc., Huntingdon, PA, Robin Footwear, Mt. Union, PA and Grief Bros. Manufacturing, Mt. Union, PA.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Rev. Steven Heaster officiating. Interment will be made at Salem Cemetery, RD, Blairs Mills, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
