Laura Goodwin,who lived in Jackson county most of her life, passed from this earth to be with her heavenly Father on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at age 83. Laura was a person that was passionate about helping others and taking care of her family. She loved church on Sundays, planting flowers, fishing, and being "on the go". She was loved by all that knew her and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children, Lou Allen, Bobby (Wynlove) Duncan, and JoAnn Koster, sisters Ruby (Henry) Piper and Lela KuyKendall, brothers, John (Reta) Summerlin and Jim Summerlin, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Goodwin, son Lee Pace, and granddaughter Laura Lee Duncan Ford. The celebration of Life service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 12 noon with visitation from 10 am until service time. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
