John Rufus Bain, age 87, of Fayetteville, TN, passed away on September 13, 2019. He was born on April 23, 1932 in Lincoln County, TN to the late John Clinton Bain and Myra Tallent Bain. He was a retired veteran of the US Navy and was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association. He was a member of the Lincoln A.R.P. Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Barbara Cummings Bain; son: Rick Bain; and sister: June Crumbly.
He is survived by his son, sister, three brothers, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Rev. Terrell Bain and Pastor Tommy Graham officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
