LOGAN - Donna Saunders Naylor, 84, passed away March 22, 2010, at Williamsburg Retirement Community due to natural causes. She was born on April 30, 1925, to Kirstiana and Willard Saunders.

Donna was one of 14 children. She had six sisters and seven brothers, one of which was her twin brother Donald. She was born and raised in Benson, Utah. She attended North Cache High School, graduating in 1943.

Donna was married to John Swenson, with whom she had two daughters, Lynda and Dixie. Later she married Dean Naylor and helped raise three more daughters, Kitty, Connie and Sandy. She is now the grandmother of 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

During her childhood Donna was an avid softball player and participated in square-dancing regularly. She enjoyed crafts such as knitting and crocheting so much that all of her grandchildren have a handmade blanket. It was always known in the Naylor family that when you have a grandchild, grandma will be there to make an afghan.

She also enjoyed playing cards. Every Tuesday and Thursday she played cards with three of her best friends at Williamsburg.
Donna owned and operated her own daycare center. She loved children and was even considered an honorary grandmother.

From her early childhood she has been an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her favorite church calling was taking care of her children in the nursery.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Naylor; her parents, Willard and Kirstiana Saunders; brothers and sisters, Gilbert Saunders, Mary Chandler, Earl Saunders, Aletha Meservy, Ruth Palmer, Lille Olsen, Wendall Saunders, Leroy Saunders and Donald Saunders; sons-in-law, Ronald L. Jacobsen and Loren Brown; and grandson Jason White.

Donna's funeral will be held at noon Saturday, March 27, 2010, at the Logan 19th Ward church, 1255 N. 600 East, Logan, Utah, with Bishop Ron Godfrey presiding. There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2010, at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St., Logan. There will also be a viewing preceding the funeral from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the church.
