Brian Angeles McManus, age 19, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was born April 14th, 1999 in Evanston, IL and attended Queen of All Saints grade school where he was Student Council President in 2013 and loved participating in cross country, track, lacrosse, soccer, basketball and floor hockey. Brian was a 2017 graduate of Northside College Prep High School where he was captain of the Track and Cross Country teams and involved in Latin and Table Tennis clubs. He had intended to continue his education in health sciences and run cross country and track at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa.



Brian loved the Cubs, his dog, Kona, being outdoors, enjoyed playing tennis, basketball, ultimate frisbee, pickleball, playing board games and cards with his friends and family and running, talking and laughing with his track and cross country teammates.



Brian was the loving son of Patrick and Elizabeth, nee Angeles; beloved brother of Lauren and Audrey McManus, cherished grandson of Paul and Susan Angeles of Chicago and Mary McManus of South Haven, Michigan; beloved nephew of Dr. Mike (Mary) McManus, Bill McManus, Carol (Mark) Herndon, Alex (Melissa) Angeles, Christina (Caesar) Lomahan; special cousin to Carolyn and Nicholas Lomahan, Lucas and Leo Angeles, Billy (Katie), Sean and Emily McManus, Daniel (Justine) Herndon and Beth (Greg Larson) Herndon. He was loved by many other great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins from extended family.

Visitation Sunday May 20th from 3-9 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Chicago. Funeral Monday May 21st, 9:30 AM from Smith-Corcoran to Queen of All Saints Basilica 6280 N. Sauganash Ave. Chicago, for mass at 10 AM. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery.
