PARKER, Jacqueline "Jackie" K., 85, of Richmond, passed away May 17, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm "Champ"; parents, Annie and James Kirby; brothers, Jimmy and Vernon; sister, Geraldine. She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Hall and Patti Rackley (Jim); four grandchildren, Whitney, Erin, James and Parker; brothers, Gordon and Billy Kirby (Vickie); sisters-in-law, Lois Kirby and Charlotte Vandling; many nieces and nephews. Jackie was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha for about 60 years, charter member of Alpha Tau Chapter. She was also a member of King's Daughter and Eastern Star. She volunteered for over 30 years at Sheltering Arms Hospital. She also volunteered at Salvation Army, Aggie's Attic and many other charities. Jackie was a member of Laurel Park United Methodist Church and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. She was retired from RF & P Railroad. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2018, at Laurel Park United Methodist Church. Following the service, the family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4 p.m. and a reception will be held during that time. Interment will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, at Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aggie's Attic, Laurel Park UMC or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
