Janet “Nettie” Moore was born February 17, 1924 in Glasgow, Scotland to Dysart and Annie (Gault) Moore. She immigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba on September 3, 1926. Nettie worked at Eaton’s Department Store in Winnipeg. She also proud to have played on Eaton’s softball team, the Dominos.
On November 5, 1949, she married William Craig at Sparling United Church in Winnipeg. After their marriage they lived and farmed in the Bathgate area. In 1994, she moved to Cavalier where she lived for 16 years. She then moved to the Borg Memorial Home in Mountain, ND in July 2009 and to the Villa Maria Nursing Home in Fargo in June of 2015. She very much enjoyed bicycling and knitting which she was well known for the dishcloths she made and gifted to many throughout the years. Nettie loved gardening, especially her flower gardens which she meticulously cared for in the spring and summer. She loved taking pictures of her flowers also. Nettie was especially proud of her Scottish Heritage.
She is survived by her children: Diane Longtine, Helena, MT, Pamela Jerde, Sahuarita, AZ, David (Peggy) Craig, Bathgate, ND; grandchildren: Jason (Kellie) Longtine, Alana (Scott) Huck, Raymond (Jamie) Longtine; Sean (Shari) Jerde, James Jerde, Janet Jerde; Andrea Craig and James (Amanda)Craig; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Gieb.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, William; brothers, James Moore and Dysart “Dyce” Moore.
