Funeral Of Tech. 3f t. Elmer Guy On Saturday

PULASKI — Military honors will be tendered by Cable Trail Post, VFW, the committal service for Tech-Sft. Elmer Guy
in Wesleyan cemetery, Lacona, Sunday, at 2:30 p.m. There will
be private prayer services at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred I. Guy at 3 p.m.

Sgt. Guy died as a result of German shellfire in France Sept 23, 1944 while carrying medical supplies and evacuating wounded men from a front line first aid station. He had entered into Army service a year prior to Pearl Harbor and went overseas in the spring of 1944.

He was born in Willard, N. Y. but was a graduate of Sandy Creek High school and attended Buffalo University. He had also been employed in the Willard State Hospital in the supply department.

Besides his parents he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Viola Bass Guy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel R. Bass of Pulaski.
