H L - Sonny - Wright was a good man who loved his country, his wife and son. He served in the U S Army in WWII, where he drove a truck in Europe. Like many veterans, he would not talk about the things he saw in war.
On a personal note, Sonny and my father, Marvin Wright, were double first cousins. In the 1950's Sonny, Ruth and their son spent every Saturday night with my family, either at their house in Oak Cliff or ours in Pleasant Grove. Which ever house we were at, the evening ended after watching Gunsmoke on TV. Those were good days!
