Obituary of Wilton Irvon Lombard Sr.
Wilton lrvon Lombard, Sr., 92, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 13, 2018 while living in Montgomery, AL. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 20,2018, at 2:00 pm at the Alabama Heritage Funeral Home, 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 pm. Committal service will follow at Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Presiding ministers will be Rev. Jim lngram and Rev. Johnny Jones.

Wilton Lombard, Sr. is survived by his wife, Lucille M. Lombard; four children, O. Robert Lombard, Shirley L. lngram (Jim), Wilton "Von" Lombard, Darlene L. Baker (Kevin) ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren with another one due this year. Wilton was predeceased by his father, Joseph Samuel Lombard, Jr., his mother, Christine T. Lombard; two brothers, Milton Woodrow Lombard and Maurice Lombard; two sisters, Mildred L. Clolinger, and Ruth Gwendolyn Lemley. He is survived by two sisters, Gladys L. Kohan and Carolyn L. Jacobs, and several nieces and nephews. He also has a step-son, Gary A. Calhoun (Leisa) and two step-grandchildren.

Wilton was born in Mobile, AL on May 29, 1925 and spent his childhood in Mobile. He graduated from Murphy High School in Mobile in 1942. During World War ll, he graduated from the U.S. Maritime Training School in St. Petersburg, FL and the U. S. Maritime Officers Training School in New London, Connecticut. He served aboard merchant ships in that war as a Marine Engineer and was given an honorable discharge as a Worid War ll Veteran by the U. S. Coast Guard. He met and married May Marie Clark in Waxahatchie, TX on December 17, 1948, where he was attending Southwestern Assemblies of God College. He conducted revival meetings in several states, pastored three churches and started others. He held a Doctor of Theology Degree, Doctor of Letters Degree and a Doctor of Divinity Degree. Wilton became a licensed Real Estate Broker in Alabama and Colorado, and held an Alabama Home Builders License. ln his retirement years, he and his wife, May, lived in Baldwin County, Alabama where he built and sold custom homes. His wife, May, went to be with the Lord on September 29, 2009, having suffered with alzheimers for eight years with Wilton being her caregiver. ln the year 2011, Wilton renewed an acquaintance with Lucille M. Calhoun, a deceased pastor friend's widow, and they were happily married on October 1, 2011.
