Dale Leroy Davis, 77, Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Sanford Health, Bismarck.
Dale Leroy Davis was born January 9, 1941 in Campbell County, South Dakota to Charles and Ruth (Schnabel) Davis. He was raised on the family farm and graduated from Pollock High School in 1958. He served in the Army National Guard from March 1957 to August 1958. He then enlisted in the US Air force and served until being Honorably Discharged in December 1961. He married Wilma Langeliers in 1963 and to this union three sons were born.
Dale worked at Home Stake Goldmine in Lead, South Dakota until moving to Sacramento, California in 1965. There he worked at Wonder Bread Bakery for 6 years before returning to the Dakotas. He worked on housing construction in North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska until the family moved to Linton, North Dakota where he purchased a share in NoDak Ranch & Home Store, working there until retirement.
He loved all sports and in his retirement years, enjoyed hunting and fishing with his boys and grandchildren. He delighted in time spent with family and his quiet gentle ways were a solace to us. His integrity and deep caring will always be a part of our memories of him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Terry Davis; and brother-in-law, Roger Hanson.
Dale is survived by his wife, Wilma; children, Robbie, Bismarck; Ryan (Brenda), Minot; Randal (Amy), Bismarck; and grandchildren D.J. (Casey), Brandon, Seth, Joel, Brett, Teya, Maryn, Devan and Dawson Davis; siblings Judy Hanson, Pollock, SD and Craig (Kathy) Davis, Sioux Falls, SD.
