SOUTH BEND - Larry D. Jennings, 71, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 in Memorial Hospital.

Larry was born July 11, 1946 in Noblesville, IN to the late Warren and Gladys Jennings.

On December 26, 1970 in Elkhart, Larry married his loving wife, Janice (Vandygriff) Jennings; she survives along with son, Brian Jennings, five sisters, a brother, and cousin, Gary (Penny) Roberson.

Larry honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy where he was a radio man on the USS Ponchatoula during the Vietnam Conflict. Larry attended the Acme Institute of Technology for Tool and Die Design. He was a CNC Machinist with Dodge Manufacturing, Bristol Mejers Squib (Zimmer), and Honeywell. Larry performed Sunday Church Services at Golden Living Center on 12th Street in Mishawaka for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and was a ham radio enthusiast - call sign, “KB9ORX”. Larry was also a loyal Christian to the end. He will be missed by all.

Visitation for Larry will take place 12:00pm to 1:00pm Monday, May 21, 2018 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. where a Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana, 702 Chapin Street, South Bend, IN 46601.
