Mrs. Mary Helen Gill, age 90, of Silver Point, Tennessee, died Friday afternoon, April 30, 1971, at the Donelson Hospital. Funeral services were conducted this morning at 10:30 AM at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Chapel. The Rev. George Becvar officiated with assistance from the Rev. Tom Henry. Burial was in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. A native of Smith County, Mrs. Gill was the daughter of John C. and Amanda Hendrixson Taylor. She was affiliated with the Baptist Church. Her survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Jeanne Allen, Nashville, Mrs. Robbye Williams, Michigan, Mrs. Dorothy Shorkey, Michigan, Mrs. Lola Taylor, Silver Point, Mrs. Hazel Ross, New Jersey, Mrs. Johnnie Cantrell, Michigan, Mrs. Ruby Sexton, Lebanon; step-children, Luke Gill, Frank Gill, Mrs. Edith Haynes; sisters, Mrs. Effie Taylor, Mrs. Dovie Trusty; five grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mary Helen Taylor married Solon Lee Gill as his second wife. Their children were Lola May Gill, Ruby Belle Gill, Robbye Nell Gill, Alli Gill, Dorothy Gill, Hazel Gill, and Emma Jeanne Gill.

Mary Helen Gill was living in Silver Point, Putnam County, Tennessee when she entered the hospital where she died.
