Sylvester Pate
Syilvester Pate, son of Benjamin and Ora Pate, born at Bagwell, TX on 20 Jan, 1896, and had only a short course in the common schools of Texas and Oklahoma. He enlisted for the World War at Idabel on 5 June, 1917 and went into training at Camp Travis at once. Left Camp Travis for France on 9 June, 1918.
He was fatally wounded on 12 October, 1918, somewhere in France, and died the next day. He was a member of Company E, 358th Infantry, 90th Division. His remains were brouht home and buried in the Denison Cemetery near Idabel.
