Obituary for Dolores Jean Laxton-Patten
Dolores (Ruchti Laxton) Patten, age 84, of Boscobel, passed away at The Golden Living Center in Muscoda on Thursday, October 1, 2015 after a long illness.
She was born, August 25, 1931, in Fennimore, to Lynn and Goldie (Wilklow) Ruchti. Dolores grew up on a farm in Fennimore, WI and later moved to a farm in Lancaster, WI.
Dolores married James “Jim” Laxton on July 30, 1949. At the time of Jim’s death, 1980, they resided in Boscobel, WI where they had raised 5 children. In 1984 Dolores married Jay Patten, and he passed away in 2001.
She was preceded in death by her husbands James Laxton and Jay Patten; her parents; her brother, Guy Ruchti, and a sister, Evelyn Dodge; a brother-in-law, Ted Dodge.
Dolores is survived by her 3 daughters, Linda (Ron) Lund of Onalaska, Karen (Lyle) Reichmann of Prairie du Chien, Julie Blackdeer of Black River Falls; 2 sons, Michael (Beth) Laxton of Blue River and Timothy (Catherine) Laxton of Boscobel; 11 step-children; 13 grandchildren; 27 step-grandcildren; 10 great grandchildren; 33 step-great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mary (Walter) Mueller of Marinette, Pearl (John) Hughes of Lancaster; a brother, Jerry (Sharon) Ruchti of Lancaster; and a sister-in-law, June Ruchti of Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at First Congregational Church of Christ in Boscobel.
Services will be on Thursday, October 8 2015 at 11:00 am at the First Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor Stan Pegram officiating. Burial will be in the Boscobel Cemetery. The Beeman-Patchak Funeral Home of Boscobel is assisting the family. On line condolences may be made at www.beeman-patchakfuneralhome.com.
