He was preceded in death by his brother, Bryan Hankins; his grandparents, Jack and Pauline Hankins; Leon and Pearlene Phillips.
Greg worked with horses and cattle on ranches and feed lots, from the time he was 9 years old, until his early 30’s. Then he started driving a truck and hauling cattle. He loved his horses, his motorcycle and old pickup trucks.
Greg was known to be able to cook the best steak one could ever eat, and he knew it! Greg was a lot of fun and loved to aggravate little kids.
Survivors include his parents, Ted and Betty Hankins; his daughter Shauna Hankins; his sister, Paula Hankins; his niece D’Lynn Hankins Reed, his nephews, Christopher Hankins and Erik Gogan.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Autry’s Carroll-Lehr funeral home in Athens.
