Marlow - ARNOLD SCOTT CRAWFORD, 80, of Marlow, passed away Monday, April 16, 2007, in Lawton.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Eastside Baptist Church in Marlow, with the Rev. Dean Smith and the Rev. Dow Pannell officiating. Burial will be in Marlow Cemetery under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Arnold was born Nov. 23, 1926, in Marlow, to Hugh Arnold and Elizabeth Scott Gase Crawford. He graduated from Marlow High School in 1944. He lived in the Marlow area all of his life.
Arnold married Marion Virginia Ely on Jan. 13, 1948, in Henrietta, Texas. She preceded him in death Aug. 26, 1997. On Oct. 15, 1999, he married Jean Pannell in Mena, Ark.
Arnold enjoyed playing bluegrass music and would attend bluegrass festivals. He enjoyed RV traveling and camping. He also enjoyed fishing, working with his cattle and horses, and being with his family at gatherings. Arnold was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Marlow.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Crawford of the home; a son, Scott Crawford and wife Sherry Lynn of Marlow; a stepson, Wayne McGowen and wife Sandy of Broken Bow; a daughter, Ginger Byerly and husband Terry of Duncan; three stepdaughters, Nita Dillard and Russell of Idabel, Rhonda Allen and husband Rodney of Broken Bow, and Donna Tribbey and husband Mitchell of Sulphur; four grand-children, John David Crawford and Desta of Hereford, Texas, Billy Crawford and Amy Crawford, both of Marlow, and Whitney Byerly of Duncan; nine step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, McKinney Crawford and Josh Crawford of Lawton; 12 step-great-grandchildren; a step-great-great-grandchild; a brother, Hugh "Monk" Crawford of Caldwell, Kan.; a sister, Sandy Hodges of Duncan; a niece, Sherree Stephens of Marlow; and several other nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, and a son, David Crawford in 1976.
Bearers will be his grandsons.
