Debbie, 70, beloved daughter of Jeannette and Phil Jacobs, passed away on May, 05, 2018. Debbie also affectionately known as DeDe attended Bolton High School in Alexandria. She then went on to earn her PhD in English Language and Literature from LSU in 1987. She retired as an English Professor from the University of Kentucky. She then moved to Shreveport to be near her family.

DeDe was preceded in death by her brother, Phil “Skipper” Jacobs. She is survived by Jinsy, Jenny and Mike Hardison, Heath Jacobs and Amy Jacobs.

DeDe had a love for her animal friends. She enjoyed her time being a foster parent to many grateful animals in Kentucky.

We will miss our sweet aunt. Headstrong and funny! Rest in Peace sweet DeDe.
