Marge was born on October 27, 1931 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Margaret and Edward McStay. She married her true love, Larry L. Brady on January 9, 1954 and enjoyed 61 years of marriage before Larry passed away in March 2015. The two of them shared many adventures traveling around the world, volunteering together, and spending time with family and friends. They are reunited now for eternity.
Marge was an active volunteer in the community. She was a lifetime member of the PTA, a member of the Jr. Woman’s Club, the Community Woman’s Club, and an Elk wife. Her greatest volunteer passion was for the hospital where she worked – now known as OSF Heart of Mary. She volunteered over 9000 hours and was a devoted “critter” maker. She loved all the Auxiliary members as family, working in the gift shop, running numerous garage sales, and fundraising for things the hospital needed. It truly was a labor of love for her. She and Larry also were members of the same bridge group for over 55 years. They were dearly loved.
Marge is survived by her three children, David (Pam) Brady, Mike (Sarah) Brady, and Sue (Tom) Grey; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, James (Dottie) McStay, David (Charlene) McStay, and Marlene (James) Worek; very special sister-in-law, Barbara May and many nieces and nephews who lovingly refer to her as “Aunt Margie.”
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Louis McStay and sister Doris Burgin.
