Charlene McDaniel, 99 years young, was called home by the Lord on Friday, May 11, 2018.
She was born January 22, 1919 in Cooperton, Oklahoma to Charles and Opal (Jester) Doughty. In her younger years, she lived in the Caddo County area but lived most of her life in Texas.
She returned back to Caddo County in the late 1990's. She owned and operated her own retail store for many years.
Charlene was a very active lady. She was still mowing the church lawn in her 90's! Her hobbies included sewing, making Christmas decorations and fishing. She was a member of the Square Top Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Lillian Long of Square Top along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Charlene is preceded in death by her children: Pauline, Marie, Bridgette, Floyd Jr and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Square Top Baptist Church. Rev. Brian Doughty will officiate.
Burial to follow in the Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, Oklahoma. Services under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Anadarko, Oklahoma.
