Ruth S. Vincent, age 98, of Hughesville, MD passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Edwin F. Vincent. Ruth was born in Nanty Glo, PA., on October 24, 1915, and grew up in Johnstown, PA. She was the daughter of the late Jesse James Cameron and Sylvia Davis Cameron.
She is survived by four children, Edwin Cameron Vincent (Dolores); William Thomas Vincent (Dorothy); Cheryl Vincent Dolinger and Lauren Dale Vincent (Patricia). Ruth is also survived by six grandchildren, Deborah Vincent Iradi, Christopher Vincent, Camille Kaplan, Shari Vincent, Fred Dolinger, and Ray Dolinger; five great-grandchildren, Jacob Vincent, Christopher Vincent Jr., Zoe Iradi, Caden Iradi, and Julie Tartisel.
Ruth and Edwin were married on June 29, 1935 and shortly thereafter moved to Washington, D.C. where they raised their four children. Ruth enjoyed her role as homemaker and dedicated her life to her family. Throughout the years, her hobbies included sewing and needlework, cooking and baking, ceramics, and puzzling. She was a devoted Christian and actively participated in her church community.
