Nicole Lynette (Coley, Kiki Butts) Nichols,46, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Valley View Estates from complications of liver disease. She was born in Ridgecrest California on March 09, 1972.

Nicole was raised mostly in Mojave California where she attended Mojave High School. She was active in sports, drama and choir. She graduated in the top portion of her class in 1990. She was also active in Rainbow girls and once represented California as Grand Montana at Grand Assembly in Bozeman.

Nicole moved to the Bitterroot Valley in 1996 to raise her daughters. She worked in various administrative jobs until she earned a Bachelors degree with Honors from Montana State University-Billings in 2006. She then worked in the Human Resources department at Discovery Care Centre.

Nicole was always happy and had a witty sense of humor that most found more than amusing, enjoyed cooking and loved searching for and trying new recipes. She could always be seen at school sports events and other activities that her daughters, family and friends participated in. Always willing to help, she was totally committed to her family and friends and provided comfort, love and support to all of them whether in need or not. She was preceded in death by her Grandfather Gene and her loving mother Judy.Nicole is survived by her Grandmother Norma Nichols, Father Mike (Kristin) Nichols of Corvallis, Brother Michael Nichols of Deer Lodge and daughters Brittany Montgomery of Hamilton, Markie Montgomery of Kent Washington, granddaughter Aaliyah Montgomery, 6 years old, of Hamilton and Ruby Ostrander whom she loved as her own.

She will be deeply missed and leaves a hole in the hearts of those who knew her. Taken too early, we know that she walks with God and will be watching us through our travels and hopefully will give us some guidance along the way.
