Jason Douglas Hamilton was born January 17, 1974. Jason passed away January 27, 2017 in a car accident in Katy, Texas. Funeral services were held February 2, 2017 in Katy. Jason was a dedicated Firefighter and Paramedic for 19 years, the past 12 years with the Houston Fire Department. He spent his professional career as a firefighter serving courageously while helping those in need. As a baseball coach, Jason's "larger than life" personality created a ripple effect where young ball players were encouraged to do their best, challenged to grow as young men, and respect for others was modeled in the way in which Jason coached and lived his life. Jason was first and foremost a servant who regularly pushed his needs aside to answer the call as a firefighter, baseball coach, friend, husband, and father. He is survived by his wife, Lara; sons Bruce and Cody; Cody's mother, Brandi; his mother, Sue Hamilton; father, Richard Hamilton; brother, John David Hamilton; sister, Jodi DeNell Hutson and her husband Hank; and his grandfather, Dale Byrom. Jason is preceded in death by his beloved brother, Jacob Dean Hamilton. Online condolences for the family may be made at santanafuneraldirectors.net. A fund has been established for immediate expenses for Lara and the boys. If you would like to make a donation to help, please go to www.gofundme.com/coachjasonhamilton.
