A Celebration of Life Service for Audrey "LaVern" Scott, age 88, of Enid, will be 2:00 pm Friday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with Rev. Vernon Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

LaVern was born June 25, 1929 in Ola, TX, to Sherman and Elsie Rhodes Smith and passed away May 15, 2019, in the Greenbrier Nursing Home. She graduated from Bray High School. She married her high school sweetheart Orville "Darrell" Scott on December 24, 1948, in Cushing, OK, and he passed away October 16, 2015. She worked for Mistletoe Express as a bookkeeper, retiring in 1981.

She enjoyed painting and gardening. She was a founding member of the Enid Art Association and was instrumental in opening the Art Gallery at Oakwood Mall. LaVern's art was exhibited all over the state. She taught art lessons. She was a member of Davis Park Christian Church.

LaVern is survived by her daughter, Sandra Carson and husband Glen of Garber, grandson Scott Carson of Garber and several other family members.
Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation - Alzheimer Division, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
