Robert Lee "Sam" Huff Jr., 66, of Englewood, Florida, formerly of Fairfax, Virginia, passed away on Monday (May 14, 2018) at the Sarasota Hospital in Florida. He was born Jan. 20, 1952 in Fairmont, a son of Robert Lee "Sam" Huff Sr., of Middleburg, Virginia and Mary Fletcher Huff of Alexandria, Virginia.

Sam was a graduate of Fork Union Military Academy and Elon University and was also a veteran of the United States Army. He formerly worked for Marriott Corp. and held many sales positions for various companies throughout Fairfax, including Middleburg Broadcasting Company, Leesburg Chevrolet, Home Depot and Golfsmith. His charm, quick wit and infectious smile touched the lives of many. He enjoyed the spirit of competition, loved the game of golf for its history and integrity and was an avid fan of the Washington Capitals and Nationals, as well as the New York Giants where he was a ball boy in his childhood. Sam and his wife Pat, married in 2006, lived in Fairfax, Virginia before recently moving to Englewood, Florida to enjoy their new retirement.

In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his wife: Patricia Brodie Huff of Englewood, Florida; a son: Timothy Nicholas Huff of Seattle, Washington; a sister: Catherine A. Huff (Gary) Myers of Alexandria, Virginia; a brother: Joseph D. Huff of Jacksonville, Florida; father-in-law: Jack Brodie, Englewood, Florida; brother-in-law: Michael J. (Rosann) Brodie of Arlington, Virginia; and several extended family members.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 18 at the Hutson Funeral Home, 3171 Husky Highway, Farmington, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Interment will follow at the IOOF Cemetery in Farmington.
