Retired Macon Farmer Leaves 13 Children 50 Grandchildren

J. B. Tomlinson, 75, of Macon, died at 8:25 a.m. today in St. Mary’s Hospital. He had been ill one week.

Mr. Tomlinson was a retired farmer and member of the Altar Society of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Macon.

He was born in Macon on March 10, 1884, a son of Thomas W. and Mary Ellen Bradley Tomlinson.

He married Margaret Dunn on Feb. 2, 1909. The couple celebrated their 50th anniversary last month.

He leaves his wife, six sons, John B., James W., Robert and Charles, all of Macon; Wayne F. of Decatur, Lloyd of Hoopeston; seven daughters, Mrs. Helen Young of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Mary Ellen Bowman and Mrs. Pauline Harpstrite of Decatur, Mrs. Anna Louise Collins and Mrs. Elizabeth Jesse of Macon, Mrs. Rita Forman of Odinville, Ala., Mrs. Lois Falconer of Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, Frank and T. W., both of Macon; four sisters, Mr. Ella Hogan and Mrs. Agnes Riley of Macon, Miss Rachel Tomlinson of Huntsville, Ala., Mrs. Mary Riley of Assumption and 50 grandchildren. One son preceded him in death.

The body is in the Ater Memorial Home, Macon. Arrangements are incomplete.
