JEFF POWELL
Jeff C. Powell, 80, of Loudon, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007 at his home. He was a beloved Papa and an avid gardener. Jeff was of the Baptist faith. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 31 years service and served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. Jeff was a member of Brotherhood Masonic Lodge #561 in Waterford, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Powell; his mother and stepfather, Dora and Esco Everett; and by his infant daughter, Joan Lee Powell.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dolores Mather Powell; his daughter, Joy Lynn Wright and husband, Michael of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his son, Jeff W. Powell and wife, Sarah of Loudon; his grandchildren, Joshua and Karen Biedermann, Matt and Lisa Lande, Scott Michael Wright, Hanna, Corey and McKenzie Powell; his great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Kristin Lande and Kai and Trevor Biedermann; his brothers, John Powell of Jacksonville Beach, Fla. and Jim Powell of Holly, Mich.; several nieces and nephews; his special cousin, Jack Hill of Loudon; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary Jane and Marvin Shanks of Knoxville, Jan and Orv Lefko and Ken and Diane Mather all of Michigan.
The family received friends Friday at Click Funeral Home. Family and friends gathered Saturday at Loudon County Memorial Gardens for graveside services with the Rev. Eddie Click officiating. Military honors will be conferred by Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Covenant Home Hospice or the charity of your choice.
