Professional Football Player. A native of Gretna, Louisiana, Montgomery was a graduate of the West Jefferson High School in Harvey, Louisiana, and the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. As a Defensive Tackle and Nose Tackle, he played a total of eight professional football seasons in the National Football League. He played for the Houston Oilers from 1989 to 1995, and the Seattle Seahawks from 1995 to 1996. He also founded the Glenn Montgomery Foundation, which helped patients coping with amnyotrophic lateral sclerosis (or Lou Gehrig's Disease). Montgomery himself died from the disease. He was only 31 years old.
