Joyce Chambers, 88, of Crivitz, Wis., passed away on February 23, 2012, in Peshtigo, WI at Rennes Health Center-West. She was born July 17, 1923 in Crivitz, WI.

Joyce was the youngest of eight children of the late John and Stella Harris.

Joyce met her husband, Patrick Chambers while working on Mackinac Island in the summer of 1942. She and Patrick were married on February 25, 1946, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Crivitz.
She and Patrick raised their family on Mackinac Island. Joyce returned to the Crivitz area in 1970 to make her home. Joyce enjoyed gardening, having her annual rummage sale and traveling to Florida for many winters.

Joyce is survived by three sons: Michael (LuAnn) of Alpena, MI; Mark (Jody) of Mackinac Island and John (Jane) of St. Ignace, MI
and one daughter, Nancy (Jean) LaBorde of Crivitz, WI and Tucson, AZ;
13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren,
many nieces and nephews
and special friends: Don and Shirley Effta of Milwaukee and Ginny Dionne of Crivitz.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Stella (Hill) Harris; her sisters: Vera Zahorik, Zella DuBois, Edna Vannes; her brothers: Irvin Harris, Russell Harris, Olen Harris, Clarence (Jack) Harris. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Chambers of Mackinac Island and a granddaughter, Olivia Chambers of Mackinac Island.

Per Joyce's request, there will be no public service. The family will have a private service in the spring.
