COOPER Jim Bob Cooper, Jr., passed away June 27, 2008. He was born to Jim Bob and Sally Cooper on October 9, 1938 in Meigs, Georgia. Jim Bob will be remembered in our hearts as a loving and devoted husband, father, father-in-law, papa and friend. Jim Bob was a gentle, sweet and caring man, and the world was a better place because of him. He loved spending time with his family, helping others, gardening, the Georgia Bulldogs and NASCAR. Jim Bob served our Country as a member of the U.S. Army. He retired after 36 years with the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, where he was an auditor. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Penny Parker; son, Russell (Carole) Cooper; granddaughter, Summer; mother, Sally Bell; brother, Doyle (Jean); sister-in- law, Jackie (Herbert); brother-in-law, Butch (Patti); nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear, dear friends. A visitation will be held 10 a.m. at Ponte Vedra Valley on Monday, June 30th, with a Celebration of his Life immediately following at 11a.m. Services under the care of Ponte Vedra Valley, a family owned funeral home, cremation center and cemetery, 4750 Palm Valley Road, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, (904) 285-1130.
