Judith “Judy” A. Holman, age 78, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, May 15, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 18, at First Christian Church in Sedalia. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, at First Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, First Christian Church or to the Judith A. Holman Scholarship Fund in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel in Sedalia.

Besides her husband, James R. Holman, Jr, she is survived by her three children, Teri Curtis (Mark) of Green Ridge, Jim Holman III (Jeana), of Columbia, and Todd Holman (Billie), of Sedalia; brother, Sonny Woodruff (Margo) of Franklin, TN; and eleven grandchildren, Joshua Holman, Cody Curtis, Madelyn Juttelstad, Lauren Holman, Chad Curtis, Logan Holman, Nicholas Holman. Tyler Holman, Jacob Holman, Haley Barnes, and Zachary Barnes; and a cousin, Brenda Bell (Gordon).

Judith (Judy) A. Holman, 78, of Sedalia, MO passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center in Sedalia. She was born on July 27, 1939 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Helen (Anderson) Woodruff, who preceded her in death.

On November 15,1958 in Richmond, MO, she was united in marriage to James R. Holman, Jr., who survives of the home.

Judy was a 1957 graduate of Richmond High School, Richmond, MO. While in high school, she was active in band as the Drum Majorette, editor of the yearbook and was a homecoming queen attendant. She was a Girl Scout, a member of the Rainbow Girl Club, and active in her church youth program, CYF. After graduation, she attended Christian College, in Columbia, MO. Judy was a member of First Christian Church, Sedalia, where she served as an Elder, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Christian Education Chair Person, vacation bible school, choir member and LOGOS.

She served 29 years with the Sedalia 200 School District retiring in 2006. She was very involved with show choirs, dance teams, and soccer teams. Judy worked for the Missouri State Fair for 45 years. She loved her family, especially going to her grandchildren's activities. She enjoyed flowers, church work, decorating, sewing for Smith-Cotton choirs, hosting family dinners on Sundays and holidays, and loved to travel to Branson.
